Shine – Matthew 5:13-16

Jesus calls His followers the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” Salt preserves, influences, and brings out flavor. Light reveals truth, offers hope, and pushes back darkness. Together, these images capture how our faith impacts others.

Your “oikos”—the people in your family, workplace, neighborhood, and community—needs to experience Jesus through you. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful action, or sharing your faith story, you are a living testimony.

Are you shining brightly where God has placed you? Pray for courage to be salt and light, pointing those around you to Christ.

Application Point: Prayerfully identify someone in your “oikos” who needs encouragement or truth this week. Be intentional to show them Jesus through your words or actions.
