NV Kids VBS Leader Note: Thursday - The Evidence for Jesus

Good morning, wonderful Breaker Rock Beach VBS Leaders!

Today, we come to a pivotal truth: God's Rock-Solid Truth: Jesus Is God. Our core Bible verse for today is John 14:6, where Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Leader Devotional:

Consider the incredible claim Jesus makes in John 14:6. Meditate on the implications of this statement and the weight of evidence that supports it. This is the central truth of our faith and the heart of what Jesus wants us to offer with those He puts in our path.

Scripture for Reflection : Acts 14:12 “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mankind by which we must be saved.”

Thought for the Day: Jesus isn't just a good teacher or a prophet; He is God in human flesh. His bold claims and the evidence supporting them call for a decision, not just an intellectual agreement.  History tells us that Jesus was a real person. He claimed to be God. Was He a liar? A crazy person? Or the true Savior of the World that He claimed to be?

Apologetic Connection: The historical evidence for Jesus is vast and compelling. Beyond the Bible, ancient non-Christian sources affirm His existence, crucifixion, and even His followers' belief in His resurrection. The profound impact He had on history and the transformation in the lives of His early disciples, who willingly faced persecution and death for their belief, are strong indicators that Jesus was more than just a man. These facts support the divine identity of Jesus, reinforcing His claim to be the only way to God.

Prayer Prompt: Pray for clarity and boldness as you share the gospel with the kids today. Pray that the Holy Spirit would open their hearts to understand and believe in Jesus as God and their only Savior.

Leader Encouragement: Today is a special day as we focus on sharing the Gospel in a simple way with the kids. We have a unique schedule that allows for dedicated time for you, as crew leaders, to connect with the kids, listen to their questions, and share the good news of Jesus in a way they can understand. Embrace this opportunity to share the hope you have!
